Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to severe burns from potential dust explosion, deflagration and fire hazards caused by the improper design and maintenance of dust collection systems and building design: a.)Shop/Specialty Area - The dust collection system air flow was not sufficient enough to capture explosive wood dust as evidenced by the large amount of wood dust inside the Extrema wide belt sander, on or about January 13, 2010. AMONG OTHER METHODS, ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE METHOD TO CORRECT THESE HAZARDS IS TO FOLLOW THE REQUIREMENTS IN NFPA 664, STANDARD FOR THE PREVENTION OF FIRES AND EXPLOSIONS IN WOOD PROCESSING AND WOODWORKING FACILITIES WHICH INCLUDES BALANCING THE SYSTEM AND ENSURING THAT CAPTURE VELOCITIES ARE SUFFICIENT TO COLLECT ALL OF THE DUST GENERATED. SUPERIOR TRIM & DOOR, INC. WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR VIOLATIONS OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD 5(a)(1) WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 312884802, CITATION NUMBER 1, ITEM NUMBER 1c, AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON 11/03/09 WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 2840 WEST ORANGE AVE., APOPKA, FL.PKA,
