Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: An employee stretching insulation and installing elastic tape was exposed to falling while standing on the rails of a platform attached to an All-Terrain Terex Forklift Model TH842C Turbo and both feet where not on the platform floor. Among other feasible and acceptable methods to correct this hazard is to follow manufacturers recommendations that meets the requirements stated in ANSI/ASME B56.6 - 2002, 5.15.1 Paragraph (u).
