Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Bickers Construction, Inc. had employees exposed to 12 ft. fall hazards while performing construction work from the forks of a rough terrain forklift without fall protection. Among other feasible and acceptable methods to correct this hazard is to provide fall protection for employees through the use of a personnel platform with rough terrain forklifts, in accordance with ANSI/ASME B56.6 - 2005, American National Standard, Safety Standard For Rough Terrain Forklift Trucks, see Part II - 5.15 Elevating Personnel and Part III - 8.24 Platforms for Elevating Personnel. ***Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d)***
