Nevada Revised Statute 618.375(1):  Every employer did not furnish
employment and a place
of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or
were likely to
cause death or serious physical harm to his employees:
The employer did not ensure that a valve protection cap was in place as
follows:
a.On the first floor of the Blackstone Hotel construction site, a green
nitrogen
cylinder was standing behind the entrance door.  The cylinder was used to
ensure
that they were no leaks in the copper lines that run from the evaporative
cooler
to the condenser.  The nitrogen cylinder did not have a valve protection
cap
located over the pressure valve nozzle.

for a cylinder designed to accept a cap shall always be in place and hand
tight except
when cylinders are secured, in use, or connected for use.
A feasible means of abatement would be to follow the Compressed Gas

as follows:
a.Behind the eastside entrance at the Blackstone Hotel, a compressed gas
cylinder
was not secured to prevent it from being knocked over or damaged by
passing or
falling objects.

to prevent falling
or rolling.
A feasible means of abatement would be to ensure that all cylinders are
secured as per the
Compressed Gas Association guidelines.
