Follow the instruction in the Construction Industry Manufacturers
Association (CIMA) Roller
Compactor Safety Manual, "NEVER allow other personnel to ride on your
machine unless
appropriate seating is provided and then only if authorized to do so."

not checked weekly for link wear, or damage.

hazard is:
Follow the instructions in the owner's manual sent to CSHO by the
manufacturer which states
"Weekly check the main drive chain for link wear, or damage."  or the
instructions in the
owner's manual given to CSHO by Arrow Blacktop which states "Check main
drive chain
weekly".
NOTE: Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the
inspection case
file, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of
abatement for this
violation as normally required by 29 CFR 1903.19.
