Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm in that employees were exposed to fall hazards of greater that 6 feet while working in the elevated bucket of a skid-steer. Among other feasible and acceptable methods to correct this hazard is to follow the safety practices listed in the Safety and Health Information Bulletin titled "Hazards Associated with Operating Skid-Steer Loaders" which states: "Never permit riders on the skid-steer loader or in the bucket or attachment." A) LOCATION: NORTHWEST CORNER OF UNIROYAL BUILDING #1 EMPLOYEES INVOLVED IN CLEANING AND DEMOLITION OPERATIONS, WERE EXPOSED TO FALL HAZARDS IN EXCESS OF 6 FT WHEN WORKING WITHIN THE BUCKET OF A BOBCAT S185 SKID-STEER. ABATEMENT NOTE: EMPLOYER MUST PROVIDE THOROUGH DOCUMENTATION IN WRITING SHOWING THAT THE HAZARD IDENTIFIED HAS BEEN CORRECTED BY THE DATE LISTED.ED
