North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to an explosion and fire hazard: a)facility, the wood dust collection device was located inside of the building. ABATEMENT NOTE: Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to install an air-material separator device which complies with the National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) 654 "Standard for the Prevention of Dust Explosion from the Manufacturing, Processing and Handling of Combustible Particulate Solids.late
