North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and
Health Act of North Carolina:  The
employer did not furnish to each of his employees  conditions of
employment and a place of employment free
from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or
serious physical harm to employees, in
that employees were exposed to electrical hazards while occupying a
temporary labor camp:
a) Temporary labor camp located at 241 Hollingsworth Road, Mount Olive,
NC--a total of twelve migrant
farm workers were occupying a temporary labor camp where the following
hazards existed:
Electrical cord running through exterior window to provide power to
appliances.
Electrical cords running through interior doorways to provide power to
appliances.
Abatement Notice:  One feasible and acceptable means of abatement is to
provide electricity through an
approved means, such as the already electrically wired dwelling, thus
eliminating
the need for drop cords.
