North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer/owner did not furnish housing free from recognized hazards that were likely to cause death or serious physical harm to occupants in that occupants living in trailers located at 692 Cheek Farm Rd.,Ayden, NC were exposed to electrical hazards from improper use of temporary wiring and exposure to live electrical parts. a) Consolidated trailer unit had hanging light fixtures with improper repairs and exposed energized wiring rated at 110 volts. Among others one feasible and accepted method of abating this violation is to eliminate all temporary wiring being used on a permanent basis and have all corrections/repairs made to meet NEC and local building code requirements.
