were exposed to struck by/caught between hazards from roof truss collapse
during
installation:
a)Jobsite:  On September 17, 2009 and times prior thereto, the
controlling employer, Hunter Homes, Inc., did not protect their own
employee or ensure that its sub-contractors protected their employees
from approximately 30 foot truss spans, that were installed without
adequate top chord temporary lateral restraint.
b)Jobsite: On September 17, 2009 and times prior thereto,  the
controlling employer, Hunter Homes, Inc., did not protect their own
employee or ensure that its sub-contractors protected their employees
from approximately 30 foot truss spans that were installed without
adequate temporary diagonal bracing.
Note 1) Feasible and acceptable methods of abatement to correct this
hazard would be to
follow either the manufacturer's recommendations on roof truss erection or
the Building
Component Safety Information (BCSI) Guide for Handling, Installing and
Bracing of Metal
Plate Connected Wood Trusses or the Wood Truss Council of America and
Truss Plate
Institute, Truss Installation & Temporary Restraint/Bracing.
Note 2) Abatement certification is required for this item.
