Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:06/24/09 Location:Rear Yard of House Equipment:Traverse Forklift, Model: #F-644, Serial: #6C1085-CCD Condition:An operational seat belt was not provided on the forklift. Among other methods, one feasible means and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to install a seat belt, as required in ASME B56.1-2000, Safety Standard for Low Lift and High Lift Trucks.
