Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:06/18/09 Location:Shop Area Equipment:"Komat'su" Forklift, Serial: #516008 Condition:Employees operate a powered industrial truck without wearing a seat belt. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to enforce the use of seatbelts. The proposed penalty for this item has been reduced by 50for effective and efficient abatement during the inspection.
