recognized hazards
that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to

employees were exposed to shock and electrocution hazards due to
inadvertent release of
electrical energy:
(a)Delaney's Electric, Inc. & 1111 South Mason Street, Denver, CO 80521:
On or before January 12, 2010, the exposing contractor did not ensure that
employees installing new ballasts were protected from shock and
electrocution
hazards. The employer did not have sufficient procedures and controls
implemented to effectively ensure the ballast was de-energized during the
removal and installation process.
Abatement Note: Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to
correct this
hazard is to develop and implement specific procedural elements to control
hazardous energy
in accordance with the American National Standards Institute
(ANSI)-American Society of
Safety Engineers (ASSE) Z244.1-2003 publication.
