Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The
employer did not furnish
employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized
hazards that were
causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to fall hazards:
(a)On or about September 7, 2010, employee(s) performing tree trimming
operations
were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 8 foot, 6 inches.  The
employees
were being elevated in the bucket of a Kubota front loader model number
LA560
to trim trees on the golf course grounds.
Feasible means of abatement includes, but is not limited to:
1)performing the work from the ground level, using a ladder or an aerial
lift; or
2)Follow the instructions listed in the Operator's Manual for the Kubota
front
loader model LA650 which states under safety precautions do not lift or
carry
anybody on the loader, bucket or attachment.
Certification, and documentation/evidence of abatement is required.
Certification of abatement is required by 29 CFR Part 1903 and is to be
submitted within ten (10)
calendar days after the abatement date.ment
