Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970; The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards which were likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that, anchors did not have inspection tags on them of when they were tested: a) On or about March 23, 2010, and at times prior, employees were exposed to injury while working on rig #3 in that, none of the anchors had inspection tags on them of when the last date they were tested. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazardous condition would be to install and inspect all anchors in accordance with API RP4G 1998 section 14.5.e. Abatement Note: Abatement certification and documentation is required for this item (see enclosed "Sample Abatement-Certification Letter").
