Title 40.1-51.1(a) Code of Virginia: The employer of Holly, Woods and Vines, located at 8453 Richmond Highway, Alexandria, VA 22309 did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Employees are required to clean the glass on the main entrance doors. The door on the left (looking from the outside of the store) has a significant crack in the glass which can cause cuts and may potentially shatter over time. One feasible and acceptable abatement method, among others, to correct this hazard is for the employer to repair the door in accordance with the International Code Councils 2006 International Property Maintenance Code 304.13.1, which states, "All glazing material shall be maintained free from cracks and holes" and Code 304.15, which states, "All exterior doors, door assemblies and hardware shall be maintained in good condition".
