Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten causando o que puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a: a.At the construction area, Home Depot Building, Ponce. The Employer did not have a protocol to handle situations of domestic violence at the workplace. Among others methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to establish and implement a written protocol to manage situations of domestic violence at the workplace as required by act Number 217 of September 29, 2006. The protocol must include the following minimun requirements: A public policy statement, legal basis and applicability, responsabilities of personnel, and uniform procedures and measures to be followed in order to handle the cases. Hazard: Fatalities, injuries and illnesses related with workplace domestic violence. a.En el area de construccion, Home Depot Building, Ponce. El patrono no tenia un protocolo para manejar situaciones de violencia domestica en el lugar de trabajo. Entre otros metodos, un metodo factible y aceptable para corregir este riesgo es establecer e implementar un protocolo escrito para manejar situaciones de violencia domestica en el lugar de trabajo como es requerido por la ley Numero 217 del 29 de Septiembre de 2006. El protocolo debera incluir los siguientes requisitos minimos: Declaracion de politica publica, base legal y aplicabilidad, responsabilidad del personal, procedimiento y medidas uniformes a seguir en manejos de casos. Riesgo: Fatalidades, lesiones y enfermedades relacionadas con violencia domestica en el trabajo.
