proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
a. At Cooper Vision Caribbean Corp. Juana Diaz, P.R. Employees were
exposed
to
physical injury and/or threats, harass and/or offensive language, among
other forms of
workplace violence.  An employee was serious injuried during a physical
agression event
ocurred at the workplace premises.  The employer did not have or developed
a
Workplace Violence Prevention Program or incorporate information into a
manual of
standard procedures to deal with workplace violence incidents. One
feasible and acceptal
abatement method to correct these hazard, would be among others:Prepare a
Preventive
Worplace violence Program that assess and address: 1- Recognize workplace
violence
hazards such as harrass, verbal and physical, emotional threats.
2-Employees trainings
about Workplace Violence Prevention Program, Policy and related issues
whether they
are caused by either outside or inside factors such as co-workers.
3-Record and
investigates each workplace violence incidents and remedied promptly. 4-
Evaluate
preventive and innovative security measures and implement prompt
correctives actions,
including post traumatic counselling services to affected employees.
a. En Cooper Vision Caribbean Corp.,Juana Diaz, P.R.  Empleados fueron
expuestos a
lesiones fisicas y/o amenazas verbales, acoso y/o lenguaje ofensivo entre
otras formas
de violencia en el trabajo. Un empleado fue seriamente lesionado durante
una agresion
fisica en las premisas de la compania.  El patrono no tenia o desarrollado
un Programa
de prevencion de violencia en el trabajo o incorporrado informacion dentro
del manual
de procedimientos estandares para manejar incidentes de violencia en el
trabajo.  Un
metodo factible y aceptable para corregir este riesgo, seria entre otros:
Preparar un
programa de prevencion de violencia en el trabajo que evalue y atienda: 1-
Reconocer
riesgos de violencia en el trabajo tales como: acoso, amenazas verbales,
fisicas y
emocionales. 2- Adiestramiento acerca de la politica y programa de
prevencion
de
violencia en el trabajo y asuntos relacionados causados por cualquier
factor sea externos
o internos, tal como companeros de trabajo. 3- Registrar e investigar cada
incidente de
violencia en el trabajo y remediarlos prontamente. 4- Evaluar medidas
preventivas
innovadoras de seguridad e implementar prontas acciones correctivas,
incluyendo
servicios de consejeria a empleados afectados, luego del evento post
traumatico.
