Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to falls

El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos

a) In the Building 10, an employee was plastering a wall edges. The
employee placed
two buckets of fifteen inches each (15" each), one on one with the open
side up. After
it, the employee stood over the edge of the container opening sides to
reach the place
where his duties was developing.
b) At the west side of the proyect an employee was molding a column. The
employee
stood on a container with a height of fifteen inches (15") to reach the
place where his
work was developing.
One method among other methods, feasible and acceptable means to correct
these hazards
are to erect a horse scaffold that meets the requirements of the standard
1926.452(f)
a) En el Edificio 10, un empleado se encontraba empanetando los bordes de
una
pared. El empleado coloco dos baldes de quince pulgadas cada uno (15"),
uno sobre
otro y coloco el lado abierto hacia arriba. Luego de esto, se paro en los
bordes del
balde para alcanzar el lugar donde estaba desarrollando sus labores.
b) En lado oeste del proyecto, un empleado estaba moldeando una columna. El
empleado se paro sobre un balde que tenia una altura de quince pulgadas
(15") para
alcanzar el lugar donde estaba desarrollando su tarea.
Un metodo viable y aceptable entre otros metodos para corregir los
riesgos, esta el de
construir un andamio tipo caballete que cumpla con los requisitos de la
norma
