Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten causando o que puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a: a.At the construction project, in the Hotel Ponce Ramada. The employer, EST Electrical Corp. did not have a protocol to handle situations of domestic to manage situations of domestic violence at the workplaceas required by act Number 217 of September 29,2006. The protocol must include the following minimun requirements: A public policy statement, legal basis and applicability, responsabilities of personnel, and uniform proceduresand measuresto be followed in order to handle the cases. Hazards: Fatalities, injuriesand illnesses related to domestic violence in the workplace. a.En el proyecto de consruccion en el Hotel Ponce Ramada. El patrono, EST Elelctrical Corp. no ten3a un protocolo para manejar situaciones de violencia domestica en el lugar de trabajo. Entre otros metodos, un metodo factible y aceptable para corregir este riesgo es establecer e implementar un protocolo escrito para manejar situaciones de violencia domestica en el lugar de trabajo como es requerido por la ley Numero 217 del 29 de Septiembre de 2006. El protocolo debera incluir los siquientes requisitos m3nimos: Declaracion de pol3tica publica, base legal y aplicabilidad, responsabilidad del personal y procedimiento y medidas uniformes a seguir en manejos de casos. Riesgo: Fatalidades,lesiones y enfermedades relacionadas con violencia domestica en el area de trabajo.
