Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that: a)Inside Building - on or about April 1, 2011 - an employee was performing framing installations to the building, using the bucket of a Bobcat S250 Skid Steer as a work platform. AMONG OTHER METHODS, ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE MEANS OF ABATEMENT IS TO FOLLOW THE MANUFACTURERS PROCEDURES THAT ARE OUTLINED IN PAGE 2 OF THE OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE MANUAL. PROCEDURE B-16249 IN THIS MANUAL STATES; "NEVER USE LOADER AS A MAN LIFT OR ELEVATING DEVICE FOR PERSONNEL".
