Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:10/06/09 Location:North Side of Building Equipment:T5C Terramite Backhoe, Serial: #2350113 Condition:An employee operated a Terramite T5C backhoe without a seat belt. Among others, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to ensure that the operator always wear his seat belt while operating the equipment. The proposed penalty for this item has been reduced by 50for effective and efficient abatement during the inspection.
