Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:08/27/09 Location:Yard behind the Main Building Equipment:Yale Forklift, Serial: #GLPN435238 Condition:An employee was operating a Yale forklift without having the seatbelt fastened. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to require employees to wear and enforce the use of the restraint system while operating forklifts. Abatement documentation (photographs, receipts, copies of programs, training certification, etc.) is required for this item.
