North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to outlets within 6' of a water source that are not grounded properly: a) migrant labor camp, 9347 Ferrell Road, Zebulon - electrical wall outlets located in the kitchen and bathroom within 6 feet of a water source were not grounded properly and did not have a functioning ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI). Among others, one feasible and accepted method of abating this violation is to correct the wiring of the electrical wall outlets to include a GFCI in a manner that meets National Electric Code (NEC) and local buildings code requirements.
