North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck by hazards: a) establishment, pit, back wall - where employees were operating a Lisle 76000 Oil Filter Crusher (Serial # 5237479) that was supplied with air pressure of 160 psi. Abatement Note: One feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to regulate the air pressure supplied to the oil filter crusher within the manufacturer's specifications of 90 psi - 150 psi.
