NCGS 95-129(1):"North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The emp,oyer did not furnish to each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to his employees in that employees were expose to struck-by harards: a)Site -Employees were engaged in transporting material across US 117/ NC 132, where temporary traffic control signs and procedures were not fully adequate to protect employees exposed to vehicular traffic. Abatement Note:among other methods, one feasible method to reduce this hazard would be to follow the recommendations for signaling and placement of signage in Part VI of the Manuary of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), 1988 Edition, Revision 3, or Part VI of the MUTCD, Millennium Edition, December, 2000. and
