North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to fire hazards: a)nursing home- on or about 3/3/2010, a 20 pound propane gas cylinder (Rapid X-Change) was being used with an attached infrared tank top burner within the front hallway to provide heat for residents and staff. Abatement Note: Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to follow the manufactures, Rapid X-Change, recommendations for the propane gas cylinder use. The cylinder was designed to be used with gas grills.d
