North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Struck by hazards associated with partial building collapse a)Lumber shed - two of the ten support columns of the north side have been struck multiple times to the point that the support structure has broken away from their anchor bolts and that the bases are not supporting the roof. As a result, about 60 feet of structure is being over stressed at the bolted flange connections. Abatement note: One means of abatement would be to close the area from employee exposure until the space was evaluated by a structural engineer in order to develop a repair plan and to execute that plan.
