North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Structure collapse a)Facility - employees were observed assisting customers with orders and building dog houses and yard barns within a building structure that has suffered severe rot and decay, with the potential for collapse, to the point that half of the structure is effected with some sections of roof already fallen in. Abatement note: One means of abatement would be to have the structure evaluated by a professional engineer to develop a repair plan and perform the appropriate repairs.
