Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational safety and Health Act of 1970: the employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: Shop area Bay #3- On or about October 12, 2010, the Mohawk hydraulic lift had two defective safety air lock devices, thereby exposing employees to struck by hazards. A feasible method to abate the hazard is to conform to the specifications referenced in the American National Standards of Lifts (ANSI/ALI ALOIM 2000) Safety requirements for operation, inspection and maintenance.
