hoist/crane that is not inspected on a regular basis:
(a) Location - Rebuild area:
On or about 11/25/09, the underhung hoists used to lift automotive
transmissions were
not subject to regular inspections.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this
hazard is to
establish and implement a program of frequent and periodic inspections in
accordance
with the requirements of ASME B30.16-2003, American Society of Mechanical
Engineers Safety Standard, Overhead Hoists (Underhung), Section 16-2.1:
Inspection.
*** Abatement certification is required for this item in accordance with
the requirements
of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
