Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:

El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
At the office of Environmental Health Program in Corozal, it was observed
that the
entrance and exit door had no interior lock so it had to remain open. The
place where
the establishment was located was a rural, remote and lonely zone, where
employees
were at risk due to lack of safety measures.
Hazard: Lack of security.
Among other methods, a feasible and acceptable method to correct this
hazard, is put a
lock to provide more control of the people who enter the working area.
En la oficina del Programa de Salud Ambiental en Corozal, se observo que
la puerta de
entrada y salida no tenia cerradura interior por lo que la puerta tenia
que permanecer
abierta. El lugar donde estaba ubicado el establecimiento era una zona
rural, apartada y
solitaria, donde los empleados estaban en riesgo debido a la falta de
medidas de
seguridad.
Riesgo: Falta de seguridad.
Entre otros metodos, un metodo factible y aceptable para corregir este
riesgo es colocar
una cerradura,para proveer mas control de las personas que accedan el area
de trabajo.
