employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:
Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico:
El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
At the scholar lunch room of Noel Estrada School; the employees were
cooking and
serving food to the students, washing trays and utensils, cleaning the
tables and taking
food from the warehouse. Pieces of ceiling plastering were loosening from
an area next
where the gas lines passed, located justly where employees were cooking
and
washing
trays and utensils.
Hazard: Hit by plastering pieces.
Among other correction methods, a feasible and acceptable to correct this
hazard is to
repair the ceiling condition.
En el comedor escolar de la Escuela Noel Estrada; las empleadas estaban
cocinando  y
sirviendo alimentos a los estudiantes, lavando bandejas y utensilios de
cocina, limpiando
las mesas y sacando alimentos del almacen. Pedazos del empanetado del
techo estaban
desprendiendose del area cercana a donde pasaban las lineas del gas,
ubicada justamente
donde cocinaban y lavaban las bandejas y utensilios las empleadas.
Riesgo: Golpeados por pedazos de empanetado.
Entre otros metodos, uno factible y aceptable para corregir este riesgo es
reparar la
condicion del techo.ion
