employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized
hazards that were
causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in

exposed to falling struck-by hazards:
Shop Building - Frequent and periodic inspections were not performed on
the three-ton JET
overhead hoist.  Employees were exposed to struck-by hazards associated
with falling loads
and/or an overloaded hoist.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method is:
Perform frequent and periodic inspections as required by ASME B30.16-2007
- OVERHEAD
HOISTS, Section 16-2.1.2 and 16-2.1.3.  Inspections include, but are not
limited to, controls
and operating mechanisms for improper operations; safety devices for
malfunctions; deterioration
or leakage in air systems; and, deformations, chemical damage, or cracks
in
hooks.
29 CFR 1903.19(c)(1) requires certification that the abatement of the
above violation is
completed.
