On or about 10/12/10, employees were exposed to a fall of up to 21' while
climbing the
rails of the JLG Scissors Lift and Genie Scissors Lift to access the roof
level.
Among other methods, feasible and acceptable means to correct this hazard
is: 1) Ensure
employees follow the manufacturers recommendation to not climb on the
rails. 2) Ensure
employees are trained and follow the ANSI/SIA Std A92.6-2006 for self
propelled
elevating work platforms.
