29 CFR 1910.119(j)(5): Universal Cold Storage & Trucking, LLC - Lincoln, NE - The employer did not correct deficiencies in equipment that were outside acceptable limits (as defined by the process safety information in paragraph (d) of this section) before further use or in a safe and timely manner. A) Emergency exhaust of 11,147 cfm in south engine room does not meet the minimum requirements per IIAR-2-1999 and company mechanical integrity program inspection checklist. B) Relief discharge piping on equipment including, but not limited to the economizer (EC-HSC-3) and the surge vessel (SV-3 for AU-37) is too small and length exceeds allowable length per 1992, 2000 relief piping code and facility inspection tracking report. Abatement certification and abatement documentation is required for this violation. The documentation should include written verification of abatement, applicable measurements or monitoring results, and photographs or videos which you believe will be helpful.
