Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a). The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:04/20/10 Location:Outside Plant Area Equipment:Toyota Powered Industrial Truck Condition:An employee operated a powered industrial truck and did not wear the seat belt that was provided. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to enforce the wearing of seat belts when operating powered industrial trucks. The proposed penalty for this item has been reduced by 50for effective and efficient abatement during the inspection.
