Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:05/11/10 Location:Battery Charging Area Equipment:Yale, Powered Industrial Truck Condition:The forklift was not equipped with a seat belt. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to install a seat belt. The proposed penalty for this item has been reduced by 50for effective and efficient abatement during the inspection.
