39000, with a 9,000 pound capacity, that had missing telescoping stops,
broken lateral
arm restraints, and lifts not lowered onto the locks in the Dismantling
shop of
Nordstrom's Automotive, located at 25513 480th Avenue, Garretson, South
Dakota.
(b)  For the employees who work around and under the Bend Pak 2-post lift,
Model MX-
10CX, Serial #52825, with a 10,000 pound capacity, that had lateral arm
restraints
disabled in the ZIP shop of Nordstrom's Automotive, Inc., located at 25513
480th
Avenue, Garretson, South Dakota.
Abatement Note:
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method of abatement would
be to
follow the requirements of ANSI/ALI ALOIM and/or ANSI B153.1 which
includes,
among other requirements, the following:
1.Institute a preventive maintenance program according to the
manufacturer's
specifications.
2.Provide training to employees on proper use and care of the lifts.
3.Ensure all lifts are rated and marked with their load capacity.
4.Schedule and complete all periodic and annual inspections.
