P.L. 91-596 Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of falling off of equipment while climbing on it to access a fixed ladder: A) Hog Bark platform, on or about August 18, 2010, employees climbed the exterior section of the hog bark machine to access the fixed ladder going to the hog bark platform, exposing employees to a fall hazard of approximately 5 feet. One feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is: Install a ladder that will reach from the floor to the platform. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION IS REQUIRED.TION
