employees were exposed to the hazard(s) of being struck by vehicular
traffic:
a)On the scrap metal yard, on or about March 9, 2011 and at times prior,
employees who wore neutral colored clothing were required to work outside
of
the heavy equipment exposed to vehicular traffic, resulting in a struck-by
hazard.
ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION IS REQUIRED.
Among other means of abatement, a feasible and acceptable means of
abatement is to ensure all
employees are provided with high visibility clothing and have been
instructed to utilize high
visibility clothing while working on the scrap metal yard where clients
are delivering scrap metal
in privately owned vehicles and employees are operating heavy equipment.
