P.L. 91-596 Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to ejection and struck-by hazards: a)Throughout site - on or about and at times prior to September 19, 2011, the employer did not ensure seatbelts were provided for employees who operated LP- Gas powered Hyster forklifts models H30XM and 550XM, thus exposing employees to ejection and struck-by hazards. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to contact manufacture, and retrofit forklift with authorized seatbelts and ensure employees wear them. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION IS REQUIRED.TION
