21 VSA Title 23, Chapter 3, Sub-chapter 5, Section 223 (a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that they were exposed to struck by / crushing injuries while working underneath elevated vehicles in the shop at 256 North Winooski Ave, Burlington VT.. Feasible and reasonable means of abatement is to: 1 ) Inspect lifts in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations ( daily, weekly, monthly ) 2) A Qualified Lift Inspector shall inspect lifts in accordance to ANSI/ALI ALOIM - 1994 5.5 Qualified Inspection Frequency. " At least annually".
