(a)Refrigerated Warehouse - The employer did not insure that the dust
collector was
located outside and did not have deflagration or an isolation system, on
or about
October 6, 2010.
(b)Refrigerated Warehouse - The duct work transporting dust to the
collector was
made of a plastic material. The employer did not insure that the duct work
was
constructed of noncombustible materials, on or about October 6, 2010.
ABATEMENT NOTE:  Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement
method to correct these hazards is contained in the National Fire
Protection Association
(NFPA) 61 "Standard for the Prevention of Fires and Dust Explosions in
Agricultural
and Food Processing Facilities" (2008 edition).
* Section 10.4.3 Location. Dust collectors shall be located outside of
buildings
and shall be protected in accordance with Section 6.3.  Inside dust
collectors are
permitted as long as the dust collectors meet the requirements of
Exemptions.
* Section 10.4.4 Construction All components of the dust collection system
shall
be constructed of noncombustible  materials.
