Section 5(a)1 of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:
The employer did not furnish to each of his employees employment and a
place of employment
which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to
cause death or serious
physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to caught in
between hazards:
On 6/2/2010, an employee performing maintenance on a chassis was pinned
between the chassis
and the 5th wheel of a truck when the truck operator attempted to attach
the chassis to his truck.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable means of abatement would
be to implement
a procedure that requires the truck operator to get the all clear of all
mechanics prior to attach
the chassis to his vehicle. In addition, all mechanics should park their
work vehicle between the
truck operator and the chassis while conducting work on the chassis.

FOR THIS VIOLATION.
