Section 5(a)1 of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Fall Hazard On or about 07-22-10, employees were operating an aerial lift with an extended boom on uneven terrain, specifically a hole. Among other means, one feasible method of abatement is to provide cribbage to ensure the aerial lift stands on a secure flat and even platform. PLEASE NOTE: Certification of abatement is required for this violation.
