Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment which are free from recognized hazards that are causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to his employees in that employees were exposed to fall and struck by hazards. On or about December 29, 2010 and at times prior thereto, employees were exposed to hazards such as but not limited to struck by and falls of approximately 10 feet to the concrete floor below while changing light bulbs from an elevated door pallet. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct the hazards noted is to follow the requirements in ANSI B56.1-2005. Abatement Note: Abatement certification is not required for this item.
