Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:On or about 05/14/10 Location:Building A and B, Rooftop Condition:An employee was exposed to the hazard of being crushed/struck by collapsing roof trusses due to inadequate bracing techniques. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to install temporary bracing and hoist the trusses in accordance with the Wood Truss Council of America recommendations per BCSI B-1 and BCSI B-2. Abatement documentation (photographs, receipts, copies of programs, training certification, etc.) is required for this item.
