(b) For the employees who work around and under the 2-post lifts where
contact pads
were missing, located in the service and maintenance shop of Eide Motors,
1300 South
Washington, Grand Forks, North Dakota.
(c) For the employees who work around and under the 2-post lifts that were
not equipped
with properly functioning telescoping stops, located in the service and
maintenance shop
of Eide Motors, 1300 South Washington, Grand Forks, North Dakota.
(d) For the employees who work around and under the 4-post lifts where the
slack chain
rods were greasy disallowing the safety locks to fully engage properly,
located in the
service and maintenance shop of Eide Motors, 1300 South Washington, Grand
Forks,
North Dakota.
Abatement Note:
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method of abatement would
be to
follow the requirements of ANSI/ALI ALOIM and/or ANSI B153.1 which
includes,
among other requirements, the following:
1.Institute a preventive maintenance program according to the
manufacturer's
specifications.
2.Provide training to employees on proper use and care of the lifts.
3.Ensure all lifts are rated and marked with their load capacity.
4.Schedule and complete all periodic and annual inspections.
