Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten causando o que puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a: On February 16, 2011, at DTOP mechanic workshop Trujillo Alto Municipality where employees were repairing an International trash truck Id number IHTMMAAROGH198486 among other vehicles, it was observed and documented that the mechanics creepers used to work under vehicules were damaged in the structure, making them inoperative in the event of an emergency. The following instances were observed: 1. In the Ice Maker room a black, Koller Craft mechanic creeper was observed with a broken caster at the rear left side. 2. In the Tools room a group of Torin Big Red creepers were observed without casters,broken casters, broken metal frames and corroded among other damages. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct these hazard is to: Provide new mechanic creepers to the employees. El 16 de febrero de 2011, en el taller de mecanica de DTOP Municipio de Trujillo Alto, donde empleados estaban reparando un camion de basura numero IHTMMAAROGH198486, entre otros vehiculos, se observo y documento que los carritos usados para trabajar debajo de los vehiculos, presentaban danos en la estructura haciendolas inoperables en caso de emergencia. Las siguientes instancias fueron observadas: 1. En el cuarto de maquina de hielo una camilla negra marca Koller Craft se observo con la rueda trasera del lado izquierdo rota. 2. En el cuarto de herramientas un grupo de camillas marca Torin Big Red se observaron sin ruedas, ruedas rotas, estructura de metal partida y corroidas entre otros danos. Entre otros metodos, un metodo factible y aceptable para corregir este riesgo es: Proveer camillas nuevas a sus empleados.
